Leave a Legacy
Create a legacy of caring by leaving a gift to the Health and Home Care Society of BC in your will or estate plan.
Making a gift in this manner will ensure that seniors and caregivers continue to get much-needed support, and may also provide tax benefits to you or your estate.
Leaving a legacy in your will:
In your will, you can state your intention to make a charitable gift to the Health and Home Care Society of BC by:
- Leaving a specific dollar amount or a percentage of the assets in your will.
- Using assets for your charitable gift. These include, but are not limited to, cash, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, term deposits, real estate, vehicles, art, jewellery or insurance. Such gifts may even provide tax savings.
Other ways to leave a legacy:
- Naming the Health and Home Care Society of BC as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF or pension.
- Naming our organization as beneficiary of an existing or paid-up life insurance policy.
- Purchasing a new life insurance policy and naming our organization as beneficiary.
- Encouraging family and friends to leave gifts in their wills.
- Asking your financial or estate planning advisor to include charitable giving as part of their counsel to clients.
- Making an "in memoriam" gift to our organization in honour of a loved one.
