Family Respite Centre

Volunteers complement the role of staff, assisting with daily activities and enhancing the enjoyment of our elderly guests.

Our Overnight Respite and Adult Day Programs support seniors with dementia, Alzheimer's disease and other health conditions.

Volunteers

Spend valuable time with clients assisting with recreational activities such as reading, reminiscing, games, music, exercises, crafts, gardening, etc.

Shifts are flexible; 1-3 hours once per week (shifts take place between 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m., 7 days a week).

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working with seniors.
• Willing to complete a police record check.
• Willing to provide 2 references.
