Donate Now and Make a Difference in the Life of a Senior
The need for support services for seniors and caregivers is greater than ever.
You can help.
You can help.
Last year we served over 112,600 meals to seniors at risk of isolation.
More than 330 families benefit from the Family Respite Centres’s Adult Day & Overnight Programs annually.
Furthermore, according to the Office of the Seniors Advocate Isobel Mackenzie:
- There are 820,000 seniors living in the province representing 17.5% of the province and that population is growing. Since 2014 the number of British Columbians aged 65 and over increased by 4.4% compared to an increase of only 0.4% in the number of people under 65. (Monitoring Seniors’ Services 2015 report, page 5)
- There are over 30,000 seniors in BC who are able to live independently thanks to the contributions of unpaid caregivers like spouses, family members, neighbours, friends or volunteers. (Caregivers in Distress: More Respite Needed, page 5)
By donating to Care BC, you can help provide seniors and caregivers the emotional, financial, and physical support they need to ensure seniors can remain in their homes as long as they choose. To find out more about how Care BC helps, read some of our clients stories here.
Other Ways to Make a Gift:
Make a gift to the Health and Home Care Society of BC (or one of our programs) by cash, cheque or credit card. Please contact our main office for more information.
Leave a Legacy - By making a bequeath to our programs in your will or estate plan, you can continue supporting a cause you believe in and may also receive financial benefits.
Honour Your Loved Ones - Donate to our programs in the name of a loved one to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion, or make an 'in memoriam' gift to honour someone who has passed away. We can acknowledge your gift to anyone you specify.
Monthly Giving - Pre-authorizing a monthly gift to our organization from your credit card account is a safe and efficient way to donate. Monthly giving reduces administrative and postage costs, which means more of your donation can be put into our charitable community programs.
Donate Your Car - Donate your car through Donate a Car Canada and proceeds from the sale or recycling of your car will help support Care BC while you'll get a tax receipt. It's a great way to get rid of an unwanted car while supporting a worthwhile cause.
